Day 8 of 365 - The one about Stockton
So today i spent the better part of my day in Stockton. The point of my journey was to get my paycheck. And I must say, what Forbes Magazine has said may just be true, that Stockton is the most miserable city in America.
Now I know, I work there, and if it weren't for the city's existence, I would most likely not have a job at the moment. But in going down the streets, through downtown all you see is run-down, boarded up buildings, and most unfavorable parts of society staring you in the face. I don't write this to make light of, or condemn the people of what was once a fine city, but to point out that the so-called economic recovery is not what it seems. There will be no true recovery until the people with the least can work and contribute in the world.
